     MOON AND STARS

    BY RENEE SEROTA

Moon and stars above my head

    right above my cradle bed

Planets round and round I see

And I know those planets all love me

    STARS

    by Renee

Night stars twinkle in the sky

Night stars up so very high

Please come down and play with me

And we will laugh a tee hee hee!

    Days of the Week

    BY Anna Webber

On Sunday I drank a cup of milk

On Monday I ate some bread

On Tuesday I checked to give my dog water

On Wednesday I made sure my dog was fed

    On Thursday it rained

    On Friday it was sunny
    .
On Saturday it was really really funny

    Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday

     Friday Saturday

There are seven days seven days seven days in

     a week

    NUMBERS

    by Renee

    One is fun

    Two is better

Three has more than one letter

    Four is great

    I love five

There's more than six in my beehive

    I am seven

    My friend is eight

    I love numbers

    They are great!

    BOOKS
     by
    Hannah and Anna

    Books books books
    on hooks hooks hooks
    I am reading them
    wall hooks hold my books
    A bee stings me
    I knock down the books
    So the hooks fall down
    Because they have no books

    BLUE DIFFERENCES
    by
    Anna W.

I am the sky and you are the sea

The difference between us is you and me

But you are blue and I am blue so

    Basically there is no difference

    between me and you

Though your waves are fast and my clouds are slow

    HISTORY

    FOR
    MONTESSORI ELEMENTARY:

     WHERE LEARNING IS AN ADVENTURE

     THE PARADE OF
    HISTORY

Scientists believe the earth was formed more than 4.6 billion years ago. Our earth is a remarkable place. It is not the largest or the smallest planet in our solar system; it does not have rings or the most moons. Our earth is remarkable because it has
life - many many kinds of life.

Our elementary history curriculum follows a magnificent story from the
creation of the universe to the formation of the earth and how  life began in the first chapters of living history.

This story forms the basis of integrating our classroom studies of the sciences, geography, and the gifts of mankind emphasizing the development of language and mathematics.

Our most important job as humans is to take care of the earth. Learning to appreciate the gift of life through all areas of curriculum each and every day is what makes Montessori education so special.
